- If you are stuck or experiencing a scene-breaking issue, you can use
/reportand staff will assist you. - If you experience a player breaking the rules, you must roleplay out of the situation and then report. You should never inform the person that you’re reporting them as that is considered OOC.

- Avoid creating multiple characters involved in the same story / scenarios.
- Controllers are not allowed and will result in a permanent ban from the server.

- Olympic swimming (swimming without roleplaying any exhaustion).
- Speed boosting.
- Glitch rolling.
Gameplay Rules

- Do not wear unrealistic outfits and 100korDie / RZ clothing.
- Do not change your clothes in public. If you are going to change your outfit, do it in a clothing store, inside your home, or at the very least go in an area all by yourself.
- Drivers cannot shoot out of their vehicle while driving.
- Players cannot start picking up dead bodies that they had nothing to do with. This can be mid-shootout or after — this is not allowed.
- There are no character kills in Trappin LA. The only way to have a successful character kill is if the victim agrees to the character kill beforehand.
- Scenarios such as rape and nonconsensual touching are highly prohibited.
- Quitting the game to avoid roleplay or an admin sit is prohibited. (Quitting the game in a roleplay situation with police will result in a character wipe.)
- Killing another player using a Kid / Child ped is prohibited.
- You cannot commit a robbery, kill or wash money 5 minutes before a server restart.
- Car passengers can carry 1 dead body. You cannot stack dead bodies or carry bodies while shooting.
- When you end a scene killing or robbing someone, you have 30 seconds to leave the scene and loot the body.
- If your life is at risk, you MUST provide your full name when they ask you for it. (e.g. “Searches male wallet for ID and reads government name.”)
- The use of
/meis enforced in the city — if someone does an action via/meyou must comply. For example,/me takes coms. - Having a
/mekeybinded is allowed, but the size of the lettering must be appropriate. Modifying the size of/mewill result in a punishment. - The use of
/meis strictly for roleplay and players cannot use/meto communicate with others. - You are allowed to shoot from on top of houses or roofs.
- You are not allowed to emote / exploit mid gun fight. Players are also not allowed to emote whilst in a vehicle and collecting drugs / weapon parts.
- Do not pick up your gang member / friend in the middle of them getting arrested — if they are in handcuffs, leave them alone and let the scene play out.
- Heavily provoking and / or dissing dead people can result in a shooting / killing. You must have a valid reason to heavily provoke a faction member.
- Only civilians can be hitmen — gang members cannot dress in civilian clothing and go do a hit.
- Carrying someone, driving, emoting, punching or shooting while on crutches is prohibited.
- Looting a person or their car in a greenzone is prohibited.
- Double searching a body / character is highly discouraged and will result in a ban. (2 people searching 1 body.)
- Police officers and EMS cannot be looted.
- Players are not allowed to stash, hide, or get rid of any of their items before or during a staff sit.
- Civilians can be looted and they can loot people.
- Placing your items inside storage or your duffel bag after being revived by a staff member is not allowed. If you’re not meant to keep your items, do not make the staff member’s job more difficult.
- Players must select character models that align with their real-life gender identity.
- If you utilize an emote in intent to aim a gun it can be considered initiation.
- MLO home owners are allowed to kill trespassers that enter the inside of their homes on sight.
- Entering the community service area without having community service will result in FRP.
- At gun crafting, it is prohibited to press, kill, or shoot at someone while they are crafting / farming / smelting unless there is initiation from another member of the same gang or themselves. Meaning, if a player is crafting and they’ve initiated on you — even if it’s by talking shit — they can be killed. (It is also prohibited to start crafting / farming / smelting to avoid from getting into a shootout.)
- Players / factions are not allowed to tax each other at Weapon Crafting / Mines / Smelter. Meaning someone cannot force you to pay them to stay there. Although, players / factions are allowed to press each other out of Weapon Crafting / Mines / Smelter only if they outnumber the group / person(s) being pressed.
- Players / factions are allowed to loot bodies but are not allowed to do hands-up robberies at Weapon Crafting / Mines / Smelter.
- Do not approach staff in regards to tickets or other out-of-roleplay questions. You may only break this rule if a staff member initiates these questions or if a situation requires immediate action. If a staff member is roleplaying, they are to be referred to as their character and not as an admin. As staff, they are not to break character during scenes.
- When playing Trappin LA, you must be roleplaying at all times. You cannot say “I don’t want to RP with you.” If you do not want to roleplay with someone, make something up — “Hey, I gotta handle a business call, I’ll see you around.” Do not intentionally stand still, do not mute yourself, engage with the players around you. Players are expected to roleplay at all times.
- Any form of initiation inside a greenzone does not actually count as initiation. (Example: Jozz tells Opps he is going to kill him. Opps cannot run outside the greenzone with Jozz and kill him.)
- Players must not sell on elevated / unrealistic surfaces / heights such as on top of buildings, underground, or glitched spots.
- Any form of initiation inside an admin sit does not actually count as initiation.
Value of Life
At all times you must treat your character’s life as if it is your own.
- If you are outnumbered and / or without a weapon in hand, you must comply with someone (or a group of people) holding a gun to your head. Do not pull out any gun / weapon.
- As a victim whose life is in direct danger, you must display reasonable value for your life and comply with the demands of your attacker. If you’re getting shot at, RUN. Do not try fist fighting someone with a gun.
- You must fear being caught by the police and going to jail. This means making every effort to get away.
- All emergency personnel are expected to value their life.
New Life Rule (NLR)
NLR applies whenever you are killed and are forced to respawn, or if you sustain a head injury.
- NLR means that you forget all of the events that led up to you being killed, and cannot take revenge on the person who killed you.
- If you are picked up and treated by EMS at the Hospital, you can remember what happened to you. A player must wait 5 minutes to return to the area.
- If you are picked up and treated by EMS near the scene that led to your death, you are not allowed to continue roleplay at all. As soon as you’re revived, you must flee. If you stay for any longer, you will be punished.
- If you are picked up and taken by a friend to the Hospital with any kind of injury, you can remember what happened to you. A player must wait 5 minutes to return to the area.
- Incapacitated players with below 5 BPM are considered deceased and will not be revived under any circumstance.
- All parties involved must avoid interaction with each other for 10 minutes. A player must not return to the area of their death for that time frame and never attempt to retrieve lost possessions from involved players. An exception is made if the scene was voided by staff members.
- If you are killed and respawn at the hospital, a player must wait 10 minutes to return to the area of their death.
- Police officers must wait 5 minutes before returning to any scene, unless a scene is continuous or still active from the time of their death (if that is the case, they cannot return to that location until it is over and 5 minutes have passed).
Bounties
- Bounties are a reward received for killing or capturing another player. You can put money (minimum $150,000) on someone’s head to be claimed as a bounty. When placing a bounty, you must announce it in the sky (REGULAR TWITTER) and you must have a valid reason to place a bounty on someone (reasoning must be clipped in case a player reports). Once a bounty has been claimed there is a cooldown of 1 week IRL time to place another bounty on the same person.
- Only civilians can claim bounties — a gang member is not allowed to claim a bounty. If you plan on claiming a bounty, you must announce you are claiming it to the person. Bounty Hunters / Hitmen cannot loot the body of the victim — they are solely doing the job to claim the cash reward.
- The person who places the bounty on someone can be killed on sight by the player who has the bounty. Bounties also must be claimed within the same day or else the bounty expires.
- Bounties cannot be claimed at a drug location.
Green Zones (Safe Zones)
A safe zone is an area where the player(s) may not commit any crimes. You are not allowed to kill, rob, or initiate in the following locations.
- All government offices, law enforcement offices, hospitals, and banks (unless Bank Robbery).
- The Main Mall is not a green zone but the actual stores and restaurants are.
- Community Service location.
- Whitelisted jobs (unable to tax or rob).
- Inside all food establishments / restaurants (excluding Jamaican Restaurant).
- Inside all convenience stores (unless robbery).
- Inside all gas stations (unless robbery).
- Inside all clothing stores.
- Inside dealerships.
- Inside gun stores.
- Spawn locations.
- All events.
Hospitals are a place of well-being and health — NOT a hangout spot. The only reason you should be there is if you are seeking medical attention. Nobody should even have the energy to want to cause beef or problems in the hospital.
- Stealing a vehicle in a greenzone is not allowed at all.
- All kinds of scamming in a greenzone is not allowed. Scamming in a greenzone will result in a ban.
- Taking parts of another player’s vehicle in a greenzone is prohibited.
- Shooting into a greenzone is not allowed.
Powergaming
Powergaming is when you misuse game mechanics in an unrealistic manner and perform acts that are impossible in real life.
Examples (including but not limited to):
- Talking while downed / dead.
- Shooting out of bulletproof cars.
- Taking someone hostage through
/thwithout the player having their hands up. - Piggybacking someone when you are dead.
- Starting an RP scene and running into a greenzone to avoid the outcome of the scene.
- Taking a bus-stop mid scene to flee from an interaction, getting robbed, or PD.
- Hot repairing your vehicle during a scene.
Metagaming
Metagaming is defined as using out-of-character information in character. Mixing out-of-character information and in-character information without any benefit is still considered metagaming.
Examples (including but not limited to):
- Using Discord, Teamspeak, Skype, etc. to communicate in character is considered to be metagaming.
- Stream-sniping is considered to be metagaming.
Random / Vehicle Deathmatch
Random Deathmatch (RDM) is the action of randomly killing someone without any prior roleplay or initiation.
Vehicle Deathmatch (VDM) is the action of randomly killing or intentionally hitting someone using a vehicle.
In order to kill someone you must’ve been initiated on, meaning someone must have done one of the following or threatened your life.
- Revenge killing.
- Attacking another player / group using a vehicle with the intent to kill / knock them out without valid reasoning or initiation.
Initiation
The roleplay needs to make sense for your interaction with that person or persons. You must provide a clip of the scene as proof for your roleplay actions if you get reported. Initiations must be threatening, hostile or arguing types of conversation. You cannot have a pleasant conversation and then slide on that gang because you spoke to them. There must be a reason to slide. There must be a reason to kill someone.
Players must have roleplay for 1 minute — this roleplay can consist of arguing (from both parties), fist fighting, talking, etc. Then you must make a clear & solid threat. Making a threat INSTANTLY without any roleplay is considered to be FailRP. Initiation lasts 2 minutes.
Types of Initiation
These are the types of initiations that could lead to your death:
- Verbal
- Any form of scamming, threatening, hostile conversations, talking to escalate a situation, talking on twitter, etc. (A threat must be made after verbal initiation.)
- Physical
- Fist fights (without weapons), aiming your gun, tagging up a gang / faction’s block, stealing personal vehicles, not paying debts, robbing someone of their belongings.
- Lethal
- Using a weapon to kill someone or torturing them resulting in their death; faction members caught selling drugs on a gang’s / faction’s block.
What Counts as Initiation
- Tazing is not initiation.
- Lockpicking someone’s car is initiation. (Victim MUST act upon first. Owner MUST announce before shooting.)
- Stealing someone’s vehicle is initiation. (Owner MUST announce before shooting.)
- Searching or looting someone’s vehicle trunk / glovebox is initiation. (Owner MUST announce before shooting.)
- Punching twice, kicking twice, and / or vandalizing someone’s vehicle is initiation. (Owner MUST announce before shooting.)
- Sliding into a player once is initiation. (Do not start randomly sliding into players, etc.)
- 2 punches / slaps / pushes is initiation. (Including if you punch / slap / push 2 separate gang / faction members — it’s gang initiation.)
- Pushing someone off their boat or off the fishing pier while they are fishing is initiation.
- Shooting tires is initiation. (Victim MUST interact upon first.)
- Aiming at someone with a melee weapon or gun is initiation. (This includes police officers — they may shoot at you if they are threatened.)
- You cannot inject yourself into a situation without initiating first. You must declare that you are either an associate or friend of the party that is being attacked. Randomly claiming to be someone’s ally to interfere in a fight you were not previously part of is considered invalid.
- Mentioning the fact that you killed someone’s gang member in the past is initiation. (Gangs are allowed to slide to revenge their deceased gang members, however the main retaliators should not contain the member that was killed.)
- Killing / shooting a player’s pet is initiation — this initiation only applies to the pet owner.
- You or your gang members cannot rob someone after taxing them out of a drug location.
- Knocking someone out is considered to be initiation but you must be reminded you were knocked out in order to retaliate. You must interact for that time period & have valid reasoning to knock someone out.
- GangK is considered to be initiation. There must be stated reasoning behind it.
- Stealing someone’s items / money during a trade is initiation.
- Knocking someone out of their vehicle / bike is initiation.
- You must interact for that time period in order to initiate. If you pull up on someone and instantly shoot, EVEN if they shoot back it will still be considered to be FRP because you do not have that full interaction.
- Snatching a player’s chain after 1 minute of roleplay is initiation.
- If you hit someone with your car 2 times it’s initiation. (Doing it repeatedly or intentionally is considered VDM.)
- LSPD is excluded from the rule above. If a police officer is attempting to stop a vehicle and contact is made accidentally or via pit maneuver they should not be killed. However if a police officer is ramming a vehicle with excessive force the police officer may be killed.
- Saying “Gang wiped” on Twitter is not initiation.
- Spitting on another player is initiation. (Take all the other rules into account — do not just randomly spit on another player.)
- Peeing on a person dead or alive is initiation.
- Scamming is initiation.
- Swinging a melee weapon at someone is initiation.
- Throwing something at someone twice is initiation.
- Punching / hitting / running over 2 players that are in the same gang is initiation.
- If a police officer aims at you with a lethal weapon (gang member) it is initiation.
- Stealing a player’s baby or stroller with a baby is initiation.
- Punching a player’s baby or stroller with a baby twice is initiation.
- There is no such thing as gang initiation with a baby — it is only initiation for the child’s parent. (Must be made clear.)
- Players do not have to roleplay for a minute to sell on a gang’s block.
Social Media Initiation
Arguing with another gang member and warning them on twitter — for example, “We better not catch ya’ll lacking on y’all block” or any form of threat towards them. Once you come into physical interaction you can rob, kill, or take that person as a hostage. Please remember you will need a clip to prove this interaction as well. (Lasts 30 minutes.)
You cannot initiate with someone over social media in person or if they are near you. You do not need to have a minute of roleplay but you must have a reason to initiate over social media.
Robbing & Scamming
You must always have valid reasoning behind robbing someone.
- Players cannot rob or steal inside a greenzone.
- Players are prohibited from forcing another player to sell their vehicle during a robbery.
- Players are not allowed to scam for $50,000 CASH or above.
- Players are allowed to scam in item-for-item deals. (Prohibited in a greenzone.)
- Players are not allowed to scam vehicles or properties.
- Civilians are not allowed to rob gang members.
- It is prohibited to rob items from police and EMS.
- Players are not allowed to rob donation items.
- Players are allowed to demand you to drop items and up to $50,000 cash.
- Looting bodies that weren’t your kill is prohibited.
- You CANNOT take a player you were trying to rob to the hospital so they can be revived then rob them.
- You are not allowed to rob drug locations — gang members are allowed to tax up to $15,000 at drug locations.
- No killing someone for not paying the tax — you must give them a chance to leave first.
- If you are leaving a drug location because you are being taxed, you must make a valid attempt to leave. (Run to leave, don’t walk.)
- You must countdown from 10 seconds before killing someone or making a demand.
- You cannot kill someone during a robbery unless they bring it upon themselves.
- You cannot rob someone after taxing them out of a drug location.
- Scamming includes participating in a dice roll bet and not paying up.
- If you have someone’s personal or gang chain that you obtained through robbery or snatching, you are subject to being robbed without any prior interaction — except for the present 1-minute period.
- The reason behind robbing a person must be from the same restart. The reasoning behind robbing a person may not be an issue that happened directly against you.
The reasoning behind robbing someone cannot be solely due to a previous shootout, except in the case where you are a survivor of the losing party. This means if your gang was involved in a shootout and all members were killed except for you, this could justify your actions. However, if your entire gang is wiped, your memory is also wiped due to the New Life Rule (NLR). Additionally, if you win a shootout, you cannot use the shootout as a justification for robbing someone because, by winning, the beef is considered resolved.
Fail RP (NVL, FearRP)
- Purposely ruining a roleplay scene.
- Mentioning rules during an active roleplay scene. (If a rule was broken, finish the scene, then
/report.) - DV’ing a vehicle before, during, or after an RP scene.
- Metagaming.
- Powergaming.
- Driving while holding a hostage or dead body.
- Cop baiting — intentionally trying to get the police’s attention (including but not limited to performing donuts in front of a cop in order to get them to chase you, or going up to a law enforcement officer and doing something illegal in order to have them chase you).
- Breaking NLR.
- Killing a compliant hostage.
- Talking while dead.
- Fast farming.
- Spamming
/me. - Storing your items inside your duffel bag mid-roleplay scene to avoid losing them is considered to be FRP.
- Switching your weapon to a worse weapon from a duffel bag mid-shootout to “bypass” the rule above is considered to be FRP.
- Saying a phrase like “Wanna play ball?” without roleplay is considered to be FRP.
- Encouraging or asking someone to inflict harm on you, such as by saying “aim at me” or “punch me again,” is considered to be FRP.
- Snatching / stealing a player’s chain with no roleplay is considered to be FRP.
- Death running (running in a circle in the middle of a roleplay scene to decrease chances of getting shot).
- Speaking about out-of-character situations in character (staff, community service, etc.).
- There is NO such thing as being in your head while in a shootout or active scene. If for any reason you need to be in your head, then go to a green zone or anywhere safe.
- Players cannot wear DOJ & Judge robes & uniforms.
- You are NOT to bring up a character from a past life or another soul.
- If someone has a mask on you are NOT to know who that person is by their voice if they are RPing as another character, meaning you CANNOT walk up to someone and say “I know who this is” while they are wearing a mask.
- Employees of player-owned businesses, police officers, EMS, and all workers should be wearing proper uniforms. (No gang clothing.)
- Players must VALUE THEIR LIVES, PUT THEIR HANDS UP, ETC. (Failure to put your hands up may result in a character wipe.)
- You cannot store your items / weapons into your duffle bag while being robbed.
- Jumping in the water to escape the police is FailRP unless you’re being chased by boats, jet skis, etc.
- Randomly going up to a player and punching them for no reason & no interaction will be considered to be FRP.
- Dying, respawning, then going back to where you died to loot bodies or pick up your gang members’ bodies is FRP.
- Non-participating players must immediately leave the area during shootouts. Players are expected to value their lives and refrain from spectating or interfering in any combat situations.
- Players are prohibited from taking / carrying their baby bears into any drug locations, drug zones, or criminal locations.
- Randomly killing, stealing, or taking someone’s baby is FailRP.
Fear RP
Fear roleplay is the concept of roleplaying fear for your character’s safety and life. Treat your character as you would treat yourself. Be mindful of your character’s life at all times.
- You must fear the police.
- If you are being held at gunpoint you are to do whatever they instruct you to.
- If there is one or more people with their weapons drawn first, you must value your life. (Excluding police — PD does not have to fear a 1v1 but must fear a 2v1.)
Fear for Your Life Ratios
- 1 v 1 (unarmed vs armed)
- You must fear for your life.
- 1 v 1 (armed vs armed)
- You may not fear for your life.
- 1 v 2 (unarmed vs armed)
- You must fear for your life.
- 1 v 2 (armed vs armed)
- You may not fear for your life.
- 1 v 3
- Whether or not you’re armed, you must fear for your life if at least 2 of the enemies have their weapons out.
Life in Direct Danger
Including but not limited to:
- When you are on foot or bike and a weapon is aimed at you.
- When the attacker lowers their weapon to type or roleplay, your life remains in direct danger.
Life NOT in Direct Danger
Including but not limited to:
- When you’re in a vehicle and the engine isn’t stalled. (This does not mean you can be still while being “threatened,” “robbed” or “pressed” — if you have people pressing you and the car is on, DRIVE or FOLLOW the robbers’ instructions. Note: you can be shot at while making your escape.)
- When the attacker’s view is obstructed by an object or when they turn their back on you.
Civilians
- Civilians are NOT allowed to do gang activity. (Including but not limited to robbing in a group, participating in the Drugzone, attempting to capture Airdrops. Attempting to rob another civilian 1-on-1 is allowed.)
- Civilians CAN hold / carry guns for protection ONLY. No sliding on gangs or with gangs.
- Civilians CAN live on gang blocks, however if caught in the wrong place at the wrong time it will NOT be considered RDM (must have 1 minute of RP or must tell them to leave the block 2 times before killing or taking them out the block).
- Civilians CANNOT rob gang members or slide with gangs, and gang members CANNOT rob or slide on civilians unprovoked. (Meaning if a civilian brings it upon themselves they can be robbed or killed by a gang member.)
- Civilians CAN work civilian jobs and roleplay as a civilian.
- As a civilian it is YOUR responsibility to RP as a civilian. If you decide to hangout on a gang block and get killed from another gang sliding you will have to suffer the consequence. Do NOT call admin for RDM when you are a civilian on gang territory. This goes for interactions as well — if you are a civilian and start initiating with a gang / gang members you are at fault.
- Civilians cannot start picking up dead bodies that they had nothing to do with. This can be mid-shootout or after — this is not allowed.
- Civilians cannot take gang members to the hospital or pick up any gang members’ bodies.
- Civilians cannot match clothing and slide as a gang.
- Civilians cannot team up with other civilians.
- Civilians cannot sh*t-talk to initiate on gang members.
- Civilians cannot be killed on sight for selling on a gang block. If a gang member warns you not to and you continue to sell on their block, you can be killed.
Interactions & Factions
- As previously stated, you must fear police and assume they are online at all times.
- You may not have any fake hostages.
- Civilians must announce they are together before initiation.
- After kidnapping / robbing someone once, you must wait 15 minutes before kidnapping / robbing them again.
- You cannot simply run out of a robbery and leave when negotiating with police.
- You must always announce that you have an outside shooter if you have one — you must also give officers 5 seconds notification before the outside shooter is KOS.
- In a gang vs gang interaction, you are not required to announce your allied faction. If you are two allied gangs interacting with civilians, you are required to announce.
- Gang initiation only applies within the area of the initiation, not across the map. You may call for backup (must have clip) — your gang can pull up and help if radioed of the initiation.
- Meaning that if you say that your outside shooter is KOS then the outside shooter must wait 5 seconds before firing at police — the same rule applies for police.
- You may not have any outside shooters for store robberies. Only one outside shooter is allowed for jewelry robberies and you may only have two outside shooters for bank robberies.
- Gang initiation is when you threaten a member of a whitelisted gang / faction — this means that anyone else wearing the same clothing has also been initiated on.
- If you rob someone, you cannot KILL them once you have robbed them.
- Gang / faction members must be wearing a pocket flag at all times.
Drug Locations F.A.Q.
- Players are not allowed to run into a drug location and instantly tax / press out. In order to press someone or a faction out of a location, you must roleplay for at least 1 minute. (This rule does not apply to the Drugzone.)
- To tax a player, you must countdown from 15 seconds and initiate while doing so. You must show a clear threat by aiming your gun; failure to pay or making an attempt to leave will result in your death. (If you own the Drugzone, you can KOS other players — but if you start taxing a player, you cannot KOS them unless they initiate.)
- An outnumbered faction cannot tax a faction with more members than them. (Excluding Drugzone.)
- Only the faction with the most members can tax.
- After taxing an individual or faction, you must wait 30 minutes before you can tax them again.
- If you press someone or a faction out of a drug location, they are required to wait at least 10 minutes before returning. - Gangs/Factions must be active. Inactive gangs/factions will be disbanded and resold. To be considered an active faction, the leaders must play frequently, recruiting must be consistent, and have a known presence in the city. Faction leaders will be warned and if inactivity continues, the faction will be disbanded.
- All faction leaders and members are required to read our Faction rules.
- Factions/Gangs can only claim 1 hood.
- You cannot wear your allied gangs clothing.
- There is a 15 minute cooldown for any faction attacks on a rival’s turf, but this only applies to the faction that is attacking.
